DR. MAURO SERGI
A path of medical excellence in breast diagnosis and surgery with a careful attention to the person
I was born in Messina in May 1982 where I graduated in Medicine and Surgery with top marks; subsequently, I specialized in Radiodiagnostics with top marks and honors, acquiring skills in diagnostic and interventional Breast Radiology. I completed an advanced training period on ultrasound-guided breast biopsy procedures at the Division of Breast Radiology of the European Institute of Oncology (IEO) in Milan.
I worked as a freelance Breast Radiologist at the Breast Radiology Division of Humanitas CCO in Catania.
My passion for breast surgery led me to obtain a second specialization in General Surgery with top marks and honors, acquiring skills related to oncological breast surgery.
I have always been involved in Senology, in the prevention, medical and surgical treatment not only of breast cancer but of all the diseases that affect this organ.
Both during my training and during my professional activity, I attended several Breast Units where I was involved in the clinical management of patients with breast diseases (malignant and benign) and in breast surgery with particular attention to research activities. I currently practice my clinical and surgical activities by providing patients with a valid diagnostic and therapeutic breast care pathway.
